Beautiful, beautiful lady through and through.

Mrs Shannon nurtured my love of reading. When I was in 3rd grade, I wanted to read Gone with the Wind. She called my mom and got permission for me to read it and from that time on, I have loved reading. She was my after school care giver as i would go to the library every day after school until my mom would get off work. She was such a great lady and always showed love to me

You could never leave her house without bread, figs, jam, etc....no matter how many bags you had at home you were not leaving without something else...she will definitely be missed, we love you Aunt Nez
Beverly Mayfield
Aunt Nez has always been the happiest person I know. When we were little and had a sad face, she would say I am go get the mirror, so we would start laughing. She taught us how to make cinnamon and sugar cookies out of the left over pie dough and saltine crackers when we were very young so we could have a tea party. Sometimes the tea parties had very fancy jelly filled cookies. Even recently when I visited with her we had our "coke" tea party. She was a wonderful Christian. I had to smile this morning at God's sense of humor when He took her home on Ground Hog Day. I could hear her laugh.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
